Norma's Garden
Norma Day was a contributor and ardent supporter of our school for over 40 years. This includes her role as both an Early Years Learning Support Assistant and then as a Foundation Governor.
Sadly, Norma lost her battle with cancer. Thanks to a successful bid to the Community Infrastructure Levy Scheme we have been able to develop an area in our school grounds called Norma's Garden. The children can spend time quietly reflecting, playing board games, reading or drawing in this space. The next part of this project is to develop a 'bee friendly' garden. Thanks to the support and input from Dilys Warwick and Sarah Hilder, a plan has been created to plant up the garden with a multitude of shrubs, perennials, bulbs and wild flowers, that will provide interest all year round and will also help to support our bee friends! We have begun planting and Gardening Club are enjoying helping to bring Norma's Garden to life.
